My EcoPrinting with Pressed Flowers Natural Dye Kit is a wonderful gift or introduction for the natural dye novice, color enthusiast, artist, or dyer looking to work with organic natural dye flowers and learn the art of printing with plants.

This Kit Includes:

• cotton bandana (22” x 22”)

• 16 Real Pressed Flowers- organically grown in my Natural Dye Garden: pressed & preserved to perfection. With 16 flowers you can make double the prints (32 prints total) because each flower will print on both the back and front side. An assortment of wonderful dye plant flowers in each kit including: multicolored cosmos, coreopsis, purple pincushion, dyer’s chamomile & the sweetest little starfire marigolds. Each kit will have at least one of each variety.

• Natural dye fixative- alum & iron (color modifier) *There is more than enough fixative included to pre-treate other items you might also like to dye to extend the kit project fun!

• twine & gloves

• Instruction card with link to password protected private series of instructional videos taught by The Dogwood Dyer- (available only to Kit Owners!) to guide you through the processes of pre-treatment, composition for your prints, steaming and setting the dye and laundering care for your naturally dyed textile for the longest flower print life possible.

What you will need:

• clean bucket/container for mordant bath, pot with lid for steaming, water. Optional: rolling device (bamboo skewer, pipe section, bottle, metal straw, etc)

—- The plastic free kit comes contained in a 100% post consumer recycled cardboard box printed in the US with eco-friendly inks and arrives in a non-plastic home compostable mailer (made from cornstarch). The instruction card is printed on renewable, eco friendly hemp paper.

—- There is enough pre-fixative in your kit for treating more than just the included bandana so you can try your hand on existing garments or linens in your home- (EcoPrinting is one of my favorite ways to revive and breath new life into old dingy or stained garments).
